we are off 2 wks tomorrow :scared1: & i was wondering if any of you could give me some tips please?
we are staying at Hotel Cheyenne, 3 days/2 nights, 3 children 12, 7 & 2 1/2, also a 66 yr old mother in law!!! myself & hubby.

we are going half board, i seem to be getting in a state about everything, worrying where will we eat that is covered by the vouchers, where will we eat on the last day when we have no vouchers! i'm just panicking about everything...help please!

any tips would be gratefully taken on board.:)

The first thing I would say is - don't panic, don't try to plan every minute of your trip, and try to enjoy the planning as much as you'll undoubtedly enjoy your visit :goodvibes .

Have you narrowed down your meal choices at all? If you have, feel free to ask opinions here of your choices - folk here will tell you if they've had particularly good or bad experiences at the restaurants of your choice.

If all else fails, step away from the computer, put down the brochures, and stick the kettle on :goodvibes .

thankyou :)
i have been considering Annettes Diner for one of our meals & also possible Cafe Mickey for a character lunch, our 2 yr old DS is a mad Mickey fan!

obviously want to eat at places that are covered by the half board option for the 2 days & then on our last day somewhere that doesnt break the bank really ;)

i am going to take lots of drinks from home though as my DS who is 7 drinks like hes in Hawaii!!!!

We didn't plan on anything, oh, except a character breakfast!! We knew that we would go to the Parks in the day, and then fall into a restaurant on the way home:cool1:
Just enjoy your trip, relax, you will have a fab time:banana:
I went with 2 young kids, and loved it soooooooo much, going again this year ( who needs decking and garden furniture anyway:cool2: )

Hiya, firstly as DLP Daft says don't panic!!

We went to the Cheyenne with our DDs (9 & 6) a couple of weeks back. We also had my parents and sis and family there (nephew and niece of 7 & 3), so some similarities with your party.

We used the half board vouchers and ate at Annettes, Chuck Wagon and Silver Spur. Annettes was great, I loved it there and the kiddies really enjoyed it too. I know the Chuck Wagon gets lots of positive reviews, but I would personally chose the Silver Spur over it, I thought it was a much better quality meal.

Also as DLP Daft says, don't worry about planning too much-the fun of Disneyland is those unexpected moments when the kiddies suddenly see a character they desperately want to meet, or a ride is unexpectedly quiet and so you go on it a few times in a row...:goodvibes Obviously there will be certain things you will want to plan for, like the parades, or shows, but I would say that on your first trip soak up the magic-it's only when you keep going back that you get a clearer idea of what you are going to do and when!

Read through the various recent posts on the breakfasts, both in the hotel and in the park to get an idea of which will better suit your requirements, this can be useful to think about in advance as if you want a Good Morning Fantasyland breakfast you will have to book this when you check in.

Relax-you will have a fab time, it's wonderful! :thumbsup2
