Tips for Kid's Club Counselors

I've read about giving phone cards or Walmart gift certificates to the kid's club counselors. How many counselors are there? I think it could add up to quite a lot of money. I was planning on just bringing a few Walmart gift certificates for the counselors that are extra special to our daughters. Is there something I could bring or give as a gift to the entire staff that they would need or like? Has anyone cruised lately who knows something they need or want?

On our first cruise, I gave phone cards along with a hand written thank-you note to all the counselors. They did an outstanding job! I had phone cards ready for our second cruise, but I wasn't as impressed, so I didn't do anything. I think it had more to do with a 7 day (our 1st) versus a 4 day cruise. I believe there are something like 11 or 12 counselors.

Are there any cheaper ideas than phone cards? My 3 kids are in 3 different clubs! This could break the bank!

On our last Disney cruise there seemed to be music playing all the time in the kid's club. Not Disney music all the time either. They were playing current bands from the radio. Maybe a CD of a popular band would be a welcomed gift to the counselers.

Nah. I use "humor check." Our pet hampster. If he looks up, it's funny. If he looks down, OR poops while looking up, not funny...

O-key-doh-key, so I am assuming that cash is unacceptable? Why would we have to look for phone cards or gift cards? Are the councellors not allowed to accept cash?

Counselors are not allowed to accept tips or cash. They are allowed to accept gifts though.
