tips for January 2012 visit?

Thanks for all the great tips. We are going the 7th-13th and look forward to it.

The crowd levels will be down but don't think that it'll be deserted. you'll still need to rush to TSM and Soarin as soon as you enter the park for your FP's, they will still run out by mid day. Also, at some of the TS restaurants u may be available to walk-up and get seated. I would try it on anything as popular as LeCellier by any means, but there are some good options to choose from. The resort pools are heated so still bring your bathing suit and definitely bring a light jacket for night time fireworks. While nice and comfortable during the day, it will get chilly when the sun goes down.

Thanks for all the info for a January trip! I'll be going January 4-9. I'm getting anxious to start packing, but am nervous about the weather! Layers are definitely in my plan. I am unsure about shoes. Does anyone have any tips about shoes?

We usually go in December(my b-day):bday: and the lines are very long!!! (We go dec. 16-18(18 is my bday) but we couldn't go this year so we are going to wait for my aunt and uncle to come from MA and will stay with them at the SSR(most likely) i live in fl and know that it will be cold in Jan. maybe you can do some jumping jacks to get warmed up ? :yay: :confused3 lol you will need to pack layers and expect to be cold.... sometimes it wont feel like you are in FL :scared1:

Thanks everyone for all the great tips! We are driving from Ohio so we will be able to really pack the car with tons of layers and shoes! Thanks again! We are getting so excited!

We drove from Columbus, OH in September...wasn't bad at all and we did it in 1 day. We had the car packed to the roof. We are flying in january so it will be a bit different since we can't throw stuff in the car
