I'm the primary trip planner in our family and have always been the sole user of MDE. We are going to a convention next summer at CSR and we have extended family going as well. We are a family of 5, so one kid will be listed on my inlaw's room reservation (he is 3 and sleeps in pack and play). I booked our room, but I haven't bought tickets yet. My in-laws don't use technology and I will be booking all of their dining and Fast Passes, but they won't necessarily be doing everything that my immediate family does.
Can anyone offer tips on making sure things go smoothly with MDE? What's the best way for me to manage the Fastpasses of my child who will be in my inlaws room? It would be ideal if I could just buy everyone's tickets and then link them in my MDE, but I'm not sure how that works with rooms reserved through the convention site? I want to be sure we get the earlier Fastpass booking window for staying onsite. My inlaws will book their room in their name... I assume once I buy the convention tickets I won't be able to change the number of days? I'm hoping there will be an after hours event and in that case we'd get one less day of tickets.
In the past we have always used a travel agency and charged a package to our Disney Visa. I appreciate any general tips on conferences at CSR, since the planning is different than what we typically do.
