We did the wait in line after 11:30 pm option. We did wait for a while but it was less than an hour. And it was cooler so it was a better option for us. 
The girls played GameBoy or colored little posters they had with them. And they talked to the people in line around us as well. We waited probably 45-50 min and it was worth it! I loved it and so did the kids! Even my SO loved it.
