Hi all,

My family and I will be in Orlando next week and are thinking about going to a spring training game at WWoS (Monday evening game). Does anyone have any tips for seeing a game? Is it easy to buy tickets once you are there? Is the food good/affordable? Does Disney do any entertainment between innings or otherwise "Disn-i-fy" the experience? Any general inside info I should be aware of?

Thanks in advance for any advice and help!

We go to games every March while we are there. In general it's easy to get tickets but I always check ahead of time t see how many tickets are avalable at ticketmaster. But ticketmaster charges a big service charge some always wait until we get to stadium. You can sit in the stands or there is seating on the lawn which is probably th cheapest ticket. But you Need to get there early for those tickets.

Parking is free unless you want close in premium parking. I'm not sure what u mean by affordable food. IT is the same as you would pay at any ballpark. There are lots of options. I think one of the Disney characters may come out once at the beginning of the game but it is not very Disney otherwise. But it's a great venue to watch games. There is also a stadium in Kississmme. I forget who plays there but it's an easy drive and a fun stadium to watch games.

Definitely get there early if you buy the lawn seats! Several years ago we were going to WDW with another couple who are baseball fans (DH and I are not). As the trip planner, I kept asking them (for months) if they wanted me to get tickets and they kept saying no since they knew we were not really interested, I guess. Anyway, we get to WDW and walked past the stadium (we were in WWoS area for an marathon EXPO), and the husband stops at the box office to see what was available for a Tuesday night that we had with no other plans - the night I would have bought seat tickets for. Only lawn was left, and he asked if he should buy 4. ...DH and I didn't want to be party-poopers so we said we would go if they wanted. That Tuesday, we were not early to the game and there was very little space to do anything more than stand, if that. Honestly, it was so uncomfortable to stand for so long, or to sit on the grass when people finally moved (we were squished). Needless to say, it did not make me a fan :)
