Tips for ABD guides on Med cruises

So i know i have a while to figure it out..but question for those of you who did the ABD add-on for the med cruises - can the tips for the guides be paid from my Onboard account (i.e - my credit card on file) or do i need to have available cash for that? I don't like carrying around that much cash if i don't have to.

No, we weren't able to put the tips on the Onboard account, as the Guides are ABD employees, not DCL. I'd check with DCL, as they could always have changed this, but that's how it worked in 2010.

You can cash a check at Guest Services, but I forget what the dollar limit is on that.

I agree 100% that you will love this trip. We took this trip in Sept-11 and had to pay cash on tips. We simply set the tips aside in an envelope ready for the last day. We actually added more to the tip amount than we had planned because of some of the special treatment we recieved.

We had Courtney (recently featured on the podcast) and Milca. Both were outstanding!!!!
