DH and I are going to California for a week in February. We're planning on one day at Disneyland, on a Tuesday. We're staying at the Fairfield Inn the night before and the night after so we can get in a full day. I've been to WDW about 30 times so I know all the ins and outs, but have never once been to DL! I love dark rides and anything classic-Disney. DH loves thrill rides but I obviously won't be going on those. I think he's just along for the ride on this one- Disney is my "thing" and he's only been once in his adult life (our future little one is actually a Disney 1st anniversary trip baby :rotfl:).

I'll be 23-24 weeks pregnant at the time. Right now I'm just over 11 weeks and finally getting out of the no-energy, morning sickness stage (yay!). I'm relatively fit (still running/walking, lifting) and I'm hoping to continue that (minus the running) throughout my pregnancy although I do get winded and tired much much more easily now.

I have a list going already about what to ride and what not to ride, but what should I really look to make sure we get to with only one day there? Any great restaurant to try that night? I'd love some tips on how to get my DL fix all in one day (without totally wearing out my pregnant butt)... it will be a loooong time until we get back (if ever!).

I'll assume based on your post that you are only planning to go to Disneyland and not DCA?

Anything with a height requirement you are not for "expectant mothers" so the good thing is that you don't have to worry about cramming so much in! Definitely do the dark rides, you can do Pirates (better than WDW version), Haunted Mansion, Pooh, Buzz Lightyear (I like that one a lot). Take the train ride around the park, oh, and make sure you eat as much junk as possible lol.

If you DO want to shell out for a park-hopper, I would most definitely recommend catching a World of Color show in DCA, which will require a Fastpass that you pick up earlier in the day. You might not be a fan of that because it involves standing for at least an hour, but if you rent an ECV or something like that you could sit through the show! There are a few other rides in DCA that you might enjoy, like Little Mermaid and Toy Story.

I agree with Pirates, definitely! Also IASW, and all the dark rides in Fantasyland, especially Toad! You won't be able to do the mountains, but hubby could, while you rest your feet.

Dinner -- I'd recommend reservations at Blue Bayou. It's amazingly unique, actually inside the Pirates ride.

Have fun,
Bob
