Hi Everyone-

I'm totally new here (first post ever :yay:) but I feel like I'm in the right place. I have been a major disney fan since we went to Disneyland with my parents when I was a kid and now that I'm the Mommy and living on the east coast I'm experiencing a whole new world of fun. My DD is 3 now and this year will be her 3rd visit to Disneyworld (I promised my husband we would wait until she was older but I couldn't wait. She has the best time)

Anyway, getting to the point. This year I'll be about 6 months pregnant when we plan to go in mid-November. Fortunately I've been enough times to have no problem taking it slow without worrying about missing anything. My last pregnancy was easy and uneventful and so far this one promises to be the same. But I really want to know who has BTDT and has the brilliant tips or ideas I might not have thought of.

I figure I'll go slow, basically take it at my daughter's pace, including nap time if necessary. And hopefully the weather will be cooperative. What do you think? Will my feet swell to loaves of bread? Am I bonkers?

Thanks,
MissChris

Try to find places to put your feet up and take breaks. There are some neat low key activities that are Disney fun but don't involve as much walking. Last May we rented a boat at the Poly and went around the 7 Seas Lagoon photographing all the resorts and MK. It was a comfortable low key activity; I think we spent about $50.00 for about 1/2 hour. It was cool to see the resorts from that perspective.
Take in some pool time.
Get a portable wheelchair if you need it or even a scooter rental from a local co.
Stay hydrated!

Have fun and go with the flow!

I was around 6 mos pregnant when we went in January. The nap was key for me. There was only one day when I was cranky and overtired, and that was the day I didn't take a nap.

We took it easy but I could go on almost all the rides my 3 year old could go on. I couldn't go on the car ride at MK (sorry, honestly can't remember the name!).

Wear comfy shoes and drink lots of water. And have a great time!

I was at Disney last year as I hit my 2nd trimester and found it not terrible at all. I'm usually a go, go, go person and this time I just took it slower and rested on benches and whatnot as needed. I didn't take any naps during the day, but would sleep late in the morning if needed. It was myself and my DD who was 4 at the time and I was able to go on pretty much everything with her. The one ride (aside from the roller coasters and such) that i'd be careful with is the safari at Animal Kingdom. It does say that if you are pregnant you shouldn't ride, however if you do ride, try to get a spot mid car as it is a lot less bumpy there.

I'm reading all of this information too because when I go for my birthday on the 8th of November, I'll be a little over a month of the expected due date for our kid (December 10th). Except, when my Fiance's birthday comes along (December 2nd), I had planned on going for his birthday, but I probably won't be able too. :(
