Good morning all, so I think this is the right place to post as I'm looking for "tips." A little background my families last trip to the world was back in 2017 so it's been a couple of years, we used to frequent quite a bit but a lot has changed. I'm planning a trip for end of January as me and my wifes anniversary is Feb 1st where we got married at seabreeze point at the boardwalk; family being me(37), wife (37), DD (10) and DD(3). I'm looking for just about any tips or links that relate to "new ways of doing things" since all the craziness. I've been keeping up a little here and there but want to make sure that I don't miss anything when planning this trip. Also to add to the cake i'll be trying out this renting DVC points to stay at the Boardwalk villas going through dvcrequest.com so any advice on that would be cool.

Yay for an upcoming trip! It's hard telling what next winter brings, but this past year, the end of January/first of February was the best time to go. Crowd levels have gone way up now and I'd expect international travel to pick up be then, so may not be the same levels next year.

That being said, first tip I'd give is to plan park days early. If you have your room and ticket packages booked, decide which days you want to visit each park and set your reservations, they can always be changed later if there's availability.

Since crowds are the same every day at every park, and at this time there are no fast passes, the only thing to really base your park days on is ADRs if you're looking to book table service meals. Some of the hardest to get ADRs are in Hollywood Studios, so if there's something you really want, you may want to have that park later in the trip so it'll be more likely you get that reservation when your 60+ day opens up. You can book ADRs 60 days out from your check-in date for the whole trip.

We did a DVC Rental on our last trip and it was very nice, even got upgraded from studio to 1br in akl. The only problem I had was I didn't get the usual text when our room was ready. It was the second half of a split stay and we were kinda roaming animal Kingdom park just waiting for the text. We finally decided to leave at 3 and go to the resort where we were able to check in and go straight to the room.

That's all I have for now. Happy planning and be sure to follow a few of the important planning threads that have been keeping track of updates post pandemic reopening:
