In June I'm going to WDW with 4 of my friends. 2 guys and 2 girls (1 guy is the DBF) and NONE of them have ever been to WDW!! I'd like to make this trip sort of an every 2 year kind of thing, so I want this trip to be amazing! The hold up is that I can't think of anything off of the top of my head to do/where to eat and I could use some suggestions, tips, and guidance from my awesome friends here at DIS.

Rundown:

Staying at POP. June 5-12. (Arriving at approx. 6-7 pm on the 5th) We're on the DDP. All but one will be 21 or older (1 girls birthday is in July so she'll be 20). Any ideas would be fantastic! Thanks in advance for any help.

Well, there are gazillions of hints and tips on this site that you can check out to formulate a plan.

It looks like you'll be there for a Star Wars weekend -- so you definitely want to go to the Studios for a photo opp with Chewbacca! (and Darth, etc.)

Then, there's drinking your way around the World in Epcot (but that takes beaucoup bucks). If you have "limitless" funds, doing the Segway in Epcot is awesome.

Or maybe you just want to do the Waterparks (a parkhopper and more ticket can be good for that).

Each of you should pitch in and pre-order the Photopass CD. Then when it arrives you can copy it and all have a copy of you pictures.
All of you should check out the menus on Allears.net and each choose your top places you'ld want to eat, then make your ADR's on 12/22.
Make sure they pick up 1st time visitor pins, they're free at City Hall at the MK.
Have fun!!

We will be going at the same time! except we arrive on the 4th and there are 10 of us. make sure you hit the must sees like Mt. Everest, Kilamanjaro, Rockin Rollercoaster, Tower of Terror, Splash Mt., Mickey's Philharmagic, Mission Space. Only 4 of our 10 have been there and of those 4, 2 were only there once before. Cinderellas Royal Table, DH is excited to see inside the castle.

:) I thought about CRT but I didn't know if the boys would like it. Maybe I should just make them go instead. Haha.

Thanks for the ideas! How do you pre-order the photopass CD?

I was looking at those, but a lot of them are things like the paintbrushes and waking tink and I don't want to steal that magic from the little kids who want to do that stuff. I suppose I was looking for more adult things.

I forgot it would be star wars weekend! The 2 guys are total nerds and are gonna love that!

Does anyone know do you have to be 21 to get into Jelly Rolls????

Jelly Rolls is really fun- it's a dueling piano bar over at the Boardwalk

my husband loves the pool bar at Pop we have spent many evenings at the tables or the bar just relaxing and chatting about the day. Your friend who isn't 21 can still hang out there too and be included.

DH and I also enjoyed the Boardwalk it is fun to walk around in the evenings, you could all rent Surry Bikes

Rent a boat- you could either get a Pontoon boat or a couple of the little sea raycers -it would be fun to get away.

I really think you will enjoy World Showcase in the evenings it is really nice when things have cooled off to just walk through before or after illuminations.

Me and my GF and two other couples staying at POFQ. I went last summer just me and the GF but the others want to go this year. I plan to make dinning reservations every night and really do little more than that. With 6 people going you've got to just do what you want and make sure you give everone else the freedom to do as they please even if it doesn't exactly line up with a plan. After a lot of reasearch and a little past experience I plan to eat at the following:

Le Cellier
O'hanna
Biergarten
50s Prime Time Cafe
Teppan Edo
Tutto Ittalia (lunch)
Boma

Other than those specific times I know which park I'm going to everyday and all will be welcome to follow but they can do whatever they like. Also, I plan to give everyone a print out of what times we will eat at what restaurants so that they can plan around that. Just my method take it or leave it.

I'll have to look into Jelly Rolls. We're all (with exception of one) Music majors/minors at school and would probably really enjoy that! On mine and DBF's date night we're thinking of doing a dinner at EPCOT so we can watch illuminations right after dinner or from the restaurant. :)

Biergarten is in Germany, right? I vaguely remember eating there a long time ago and my family seemed to enjoy it. Maybe I should take them there...

Have you ever been to the Sci-Fi Dine in? It's a toss up between that and 50s Prime Time, I think. The reviews for both seem fun.

50's prime time is better for a group of 5 at sci fi the cars fit 4 people if I remember correctly.....

I totally agree splitting up and meeting back up later might help keep the peace even you split up Guys + Girls- it is easier to get to see the things you want in smaller groups.

Sounds like you will have a lot of fun!

Yea Biergarten is in Germany. I didn't eat there last year but it sounds like a great place for a large group of 20 somethings to hang out together. It has huge banquet style tables and an Octoberfest atmosphere.

I haven't eaten at 50s Prime Time either and I was actually still debating between there and Mama Melrose. Mainly I ruled out Sci-Fi due to the same reason of having to sit in the cars. I have eaten at Mama M last year. I would recommend it but I'm trying to mix it up a little this year and try new places.

Speaking of last year, if at all possible get a reservation at Le Cellier (the steakhouse in Canada) it was very good. Also I'm planning an Ohana dinner on a MK EMH night. Ate there last year and loved it. You can get a ressie for 7:00 eat, head to MK untill 2:00 a.m. Makes a great evening.

Yea keeping the peace can be tough on group trips. Seems like you always have 1 night owl, 2 morning people, someone who gets tired every afternoon at 3:00, 4 people who hate to be late, 2 people who hate to be on time, 3 people who get too hot, and 1 person (me) WHO HAS TO PUT UP WITH IT ALLLL!!!!!!!!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Oh! We're most definitely doing a girls/guys night. I'm still deciding on what to do for the girls (the guys have already decided their plans).

We do love some steak. :) I'll add it to my list. I've been trying to get the group to vote but it's all "Whatever you want"... you'd think they'd want a say so! Haha. I think you're right about the sci-fi... after a 13-14 hour drive we probably won't want to sit in a car again for the week. :D

But I can NEVER emphasize enough the importance of wearing your most comfy shoes. I learned this lesson the hard way believe me!! :headache: :headache:

And as it's their first time, try to maximize on every day without wearing out. Time management is key! And lots of photo ops! ;)
