Tips/Advice for first time FP+ users

Okay so we will be heading to MK 2/9/15 just for the day. We will be staying offsite (Doing US/IA and squeezing in a day at WDW) I know that due to staying offsite we have to wait to make our choices so will probably be really limited in selections. What are your tips/advice for touring this one day? Everyone in our group has been before but not since this new FP system has been in place. We have been during Easter break and we managed the crowds pretty well but from what I am reading it seems like you will spend an hour+ in line for anything you do now if you do not have a FP. Really just wanting to see the new Fantasyland and get in a few of the old favorites. I've checked and it shows low crowds for this day but some of these threads have me pretty nervous.

All depends on how early (or late) you arrive.

You're in Magic Kingdom on a recommended non EMH day, so you will be fine. Arrive through the turnstiles by about 8:20 am and do two of the most popular attractions first (same section of the park Mine Train and Pan or Pan and Pooh, etc). Not you're favorite, but the most popular. Save your FP+ for after lunch then use your 4th FP= for what you aren't able to do in the first hour or so and what you don't have FP+ for.

We are definitely planning on doing rope drop since we will only be in the park for the one day and hoping to go straight to 7DMT since none of us have been on it before.

Yeah, good plan I think.

Here is Josh's (easy WDW) one day plan. I like putting my FP= for later in the day, but thats more of a personal preference for me.
