We will be taking our first cruise (ever) in March and we're trying to come up with a budget. There are 4 of us including DS-12 and DD-9. Who are you expected to tip? How much do you usually end up spending on tips? I want to make sure I don't come out looking "cheap"!;)

The tipping guidlines are per PERSON (all ages). Check the guidlines and use them as a starting point. The people serving you in the dinning rooms are working at all meals during the day not just dinner. Your room steward will keep your room clean and very nice (if take 5 showers a day you will have a clean towel for each shower!!) Final thought - these people work for tips - they really don't get paid much at all from DCL (I've heard $50 - yes fifty bucks per month).

And don't forget there are always people who don't tip at all because they feel that they have "paid enough" for their cruise......
