Okay, I may sound cheap but....

Using DME you are not responsible for tipping if you let them transport your luggage. They are supposed to deliver your luggage to your room whether you are there or not.

So, I am sure we will be in our room when they deliver as we will be arriving after midnight. So, will I seem like the biggest cheapskate if I don't tip since the gratuities are supposed to be included already?

We did tip the ME driver when he took our bags out from underneath the bus for us. A dollar a bag.

You may FEEL like a cheapskate, but you won't be one. The person doing the delivery to your room is getting something I've seen referred to as a GTY or GTY rate. They definitely are compensated for that exact delivery, and they know it. I've also read that it's a sought-after gig because it's a guaranteed tip, they're not forced to gamble about whether or not they will be tipped for the service.

I had a grocery delivery delivered to the resort earlier in the day, before I arrived. After I got into my room sometime around 11:15 or 11:30 p.m., I called and requested the delivery to be sent to my room. Five minutes later, my groceries were at my door, and I tipped the CM accordingly. After waking up the next morning, I called for my DME luggage to be delivered. The CM brought the bags quickly, but I didn't tip him. I'm very comfortable with my actions on both occasions.

Thank you CleveRocks. That is what I thought but I just wanted a little reassurance. :thumbsup2

I agree with Cleve
I DID tip the DME driver going back to the hotel becasue our airline wouldnt let us check in at the hotel so the driver had to load/unload the bags under the bus. They dont get compensated for that so i tipped him a dollar a bag.
But idid not tip the bell services people who deliverd. They didnt hang around expecting it either. So i assume they feel no pain about it lol.
