Tipping! When and how much

Hello, everyone!

Just wondering about tipping in restaurants and for Ezyshuttle. What would you recommend as being reasonable? Don't want to be a tightwad nor a spendthrift.

Service is included in all the Disney restaurants so tipping is not required plus the staff are paid a half decent wage.

If service has been exceptional I may add a couple of Euros this tends to be in the hotel bar as we sit and play cards & the servers are usually very helpful & friendly to us.

I have to say I find it much easier this way then when in the USA and they expect a tip even though the service has been poor.

exactly what Tennisfan said - tips are not expected in France in the way they are in the US, or even here in the UK.

I don't tip the shuttle drivers either.

We did tip the shuttle driver only (we used Paris Blue Shuttle) and gave him 5 euros.

We tipped each shuttle driver €5 and left around a fiver for the waiter in king ludwig's too.
I also let the guy taking our money for brekkie in the dlh keep the change but that was only one Euro something.

We always round it up in restaurants. For example if we have to pay 45,67€ we give them 46€ and tell them to keep the change.

I have tried every time to tip John as he is so helpful and friendly - he always gives me the money back though!

You don't tip in France. If you want you can leave a few coins rounding up the bill but nothing more unless you had service that went way beyond the norm. Even then you wouldn't go above 5%
