Just went through this with dd. Tipped the girls who did her make up, hair and nails (paid the shop for the service at the venue). The girl doing hair did all the girls’ hair and each one tipped. Tipped the people who set out the food (buffet so not servers exactly) and the bartender. Actually the bartender only worked for tips.
Did not tip the cake baker. The florist, caterer and DJ were all friends and their services were their wedding gifts but the only one I would have tipped had I been paying would have been the DJ.
Didn’t use a planner. Did have a director but she came with the venue.

Granted, our culture is just slightly different than yours, but why - just why does the American tip-pool keep expanding? 20 years ago would anyone have wondered if they should tip a florist or a photographer? I'm kind of snickering to myself because there's a thread about a funeral running right now. Why isn't anybody asking how much to tip the funeral director?
