Tipping w/ Disney GC's

We had the Deluxe plan last year & if we are lucky enough to get a FD pin again this year we will upgrade. I'm thinking about getting X # of $30-$50 Disney gift cards for tips. I know the signature restaurants we will be eating at & I'm pretty sure what we will order, so our tips should be similar to last year. When our bill comes I will sign it & can I just put the GC in the folder & leave? Or is there something else that would need to be done (signature)? Last year I used cash & I thought the GC may work better.

Any info would be great!

Not to sound bad (I for one would LOVE!!!) Disney gift cards as a tip. However If I worked at Disney I would probably rather have the cash to pay my bills. Just my thoughts.

I thought I read "somewhere" on here that its OK to tip w/ GC's & the server can exchange them for cash. I'm SO glad I asked--I would never tip w/ GC if they were stuck with them.

This would be the same as paying for a meal with the GC or tipping with a credit card or KTTW. server will get the tip

We charged our tips to our room and then used our GC and Disney Visa Rewards to pay before we left the hotel.
