tipping question?

i will be on the DDP and have 8 people to my party. when i made the reservations she said, gratuity will be included. well as we know they no longer include gratuity, so i assume what she meant was we will tell you how much to tip, right?
does anyoen know what % they calculate the tip from? at hoop dee doo that is a $300 meal, will i be presented a bill for $60? is there any leway in that especially at buffet meals?

The gratuity is still included for the shows! So, even if your party is 8 people, you will not need to pay a tip.

Most places they will include a tip on your bill automatically for a party of 6 or more, so watch out for that and don't double-tip.

thanks!! i was mostly concerned with the hoop dee doo, as that is the most expensive meal.

When were there last week - not on the Dining Plan - we used our DDE card. We had a party of 4. The 18% gratuity was already added to the bill - is that how it works for DDE? I did almost tip 2x at the first meal until I looked at the bill a little more carefully.

The 18% will be added automatically to the cost of the meal before tax. If the service is terrible you can speak to the manager and they will adjust it.
