Are you suppose to tip the curbside baggage check-in person? I've only flown once and it seems they just put a tag on your luggage and wheel it a few feet inside to the next person.

Yes. It is customary to tip the skycap (curbside baggage check-in person).

$1-2 per bag has been the guideline for the past 20-30 years. Considering inflation over that period of time, I would plan on the $2 per bag end of the scale, with the actual amount determined by the friendliness and helpfulness of the skycap.

It's becoming increasingly common for airlines to charge a $2 per bag fee for curbside check-in. This fee does not include the tip. So, if there's a fee, plan on tipping in addition to the fee.

Finally, if you use Resort Airline Check-in (RAC) on your departure day from your WDW resort, keep in mind that the RAC employees are remote skycaps. So it's appropriate to tip the RAC employee who helps you.

If you check you bags at the airline's counter at the airport, then there is no tipping.

Thanks Horace...once again you've been a great help!
