I have a carriage ride reserved in December at the WL. I was reading a couple of posts today about people tipping their driver. How much do you tip?
Thanks in advance! :wave2:

Hi!

I have reserved a Sleigh Ride for our first night - Dec 8th. I also would like to know how much people are tipping :confused3 .

Me too! Sleigh ride at 5pm on 12/4 at WL!

We did this sleigh ride last December and it was a really nice quiet ride. We also booked one for my parents the next night as their Christmas gift and they took the grandkids with them. They had a great time! I think I tipped the driver $5.00(on each trip), figuring that was more than 15% of the cost. The driver that we had the first night was very informative and we talked most of the trip. I guess the driver that they had the second night was pretty quiet. It is a dark ride through the woods and there isn't really anything to see. Don't expect to see a bunch of Christmas lights or anything. It is just a nice relaxing ride.

Enjoy it, I know that we would do it again!

I think we tipped $5 for our PO carriage ride. I asked this question too before our trip, and that seemed to be what people were tipping. Have fun!

Good to know! I always stress out about tipping!

It's not even the calculating part - as a math major and former math teacher, I should be able to handle it (though I do sometimes make silly arithmetic errors! :teacher: ) I just get all tense and stressed about what % is appropriate or required.

I think part of it is psychological - back to when I was about 11 and had to pay the pizza delivery guy. He was trying to make corny jokes and small talk. I didn't know I was supposed to tip, :confused3 and took the change when he gave it back. He said "Thanks for nothing" and got all teed when he walked away. Scarred me for life! :rotfl:

One of these days I'll finally take an "all-inclusive" trip somewhere (not nec. Disney) so there's at least less tipping to worry about!

We have booked a "sleigh" carriage ride at WL our last night there as well! Can't wait!! :bounce:
