Tipping Ooops (WWYD)

Glad to see I’m not the only one who has over tipped. This week I went to Gideons in Disney Springs. I purchased six cookies, a slice of cake and two pins. Total was $80something (pins were $18 each. Opps). Anywho, I was surprised to see an option for a Tip appear on the screen, because I’ve never been asked at any Disney establishment except table service for a tip. I usually am a very generous tipper. I tipped $11 on a $28 meal at Kona Cafe. But for an hourly position where she literally put cookies in a box I’ll tip $1 or $2. But, feeling genrous with all the hoopla around Gideons I selected 15%. That was a BIG tip for placing cookies in a box!
...and pins in a bag!

I recently gave a $100 tip to the young man helping with our luggage at our hotel. My husband handed me some cash, and I just took a bill from the outside of the roll and handed it over. My personal habit is to keep larger bills inside. I didn't realize what I did until we sat down to lunch an hour later. It was absolutely my fault, but I was not about to ask for it back. I took it as a lesson and felt lucky that I am in a position in life where the error does not impact me in any way other than a slap to the forehead. When I was a young adult, it absolutely would have destroyed my finances, but I wouldn't have been travelling or staying at a hotel with bell services in the first place. I imagine I helped make the kid's day even though I definitely didn't mean to do it!
