tipping on excursions

I am going on a 3 day cruise nov. 6 and have booked the catamaran sail and snorkel excursion in nassau....i was just wondering if you are expected to tip the people who take you on the excursion when it is over? If so do you do this with cash or can you charge it?

Also, how much do you normally tip at the spa?
