Tipping on Excursions

When on an excursion in the Caribbean/Bahamas is it generally acceptable to tip in American dollars or would it be better to give the tip in the national currency? Thanks!

We have always tipped with American dollars, and that's mostly what we see in tip jars.

We've tipped in American dollars. Not only that, when we went to a store on the Bahamas I used our currency to buy a t-shirt with no problem. I think it's widely accepted.
