Tipping in DLRP?

I was just wondering what the tipping etiquette is in DLRP?

We won't be eating anywhere other than CS so that isn't an issue.

But what about Mousekeeping, driver of the VEA shuttle?

What do you tip for?

You don't tip in France. You round up to the next € in a t/s restaurant or leave a couple of €'s if you had great service but that's it.

Nothing in buffet restaurants (but outside of DLP, some chain hotels and pseudo Chinese restaurants that do them you don't see many buffets here)

You don't leave anything in hotels for cleaners or tip bus/coach drivers. Taxi cab fares can be rounded up but most people don't bother.

Save your money for souvenirs :thumbsup2

Ooh, great thread! We arrive late one evening and have booked EZY shuttle, just wanted to check that etiquette would dictate no tip? Just the price quoted?

Thanks, and sorry for jumping in!

Shuttle drivers are like taxi drivers, you don't leave them anything..I know some people do as they chat to them and all but you don't have to and there's no obligation ever to do so. :)

I didn't know this about restaurants :confused3
We've always left between 10 & 15% tip in table service restaurants as we would here,
Ah well at least it wasn't the other way where I should have tipped but didn't :sad2:

Have a look at this thread - my posts are 2/4 and 9 and it explains it pretty well

Service is included so you are already "tipping" 15% ;)

Well that was most informative Carrie Cat :thumbsup2, I've saved it to my reading list on the phone because no doubt next week I'll be looking at the bill saying " what did CC say about tva & service non something something?" :scratchin

Thanks a lot, you've just saved me the price of BUCKETS of cocktails :rotfl2:

Thanks for all the responses :) I'm planning to make mousekeeping envelopes for our Florida trip and just wondered if I need them for our paris trip too.

It's good to know its not necessary as we're on quite a tight budget, we're squeezing in a paris trip when we probably shouldn't as we're trying to save for a house.

But I neeeed a little bit of Disney in my life every now and again or I think I would start having withdrawal symptoms lol
