Tipping housekeeping

How much do you tip housekeeping daily?

Varies quite a bit....we leave $2 or $3 per day for just DH & I. If they did a good job through the week, I'll leave a $5 on the day we check out...if it was a super job, $10 on last day. If more than 2 in the room, $1 per person per day is common, so family of 4 would tip $4 per day.

Some people just leave the same amount every day, regardless of number in the room...some leave the whole tip on the day they check out.

I think, but I could be wrong, that the rule of thumb is $1 person per day. Keep in mind that it's best to tip everyday because the housekeeper change. We tipped extra if the kids made a mess of something that we could really clean that well without a vacuum, like a spilled bag of chips etc. We also tipped our Mousekeeper at GF this past trip extra because she did an EXCEPTIONAL job!

We are tipping $5 a day for our family of four this year.

We tip $2 a day, but I do keep the room very neat and clean to begin with. But does'nt Disney say that housekeeping is not a tipped position?

the first few days we tip a few dollars. If we are pleased with the service, we start tipping $5 a day for the last couple of days.

We always tip $5/day for our family of 4. We always leave it every day as the mousekeepers do change sometimes. If we have had excellent service everyday that we are there, we leave extra at the end of our stay. That varies with the level of excellence.
