Hi

Could someone post tipping guidelines that I might need for Vegas?

I don't travel much at all.
I don't want to embarrass myself.

When do I tip? Anything you can think of? How much and where to tip?

Staying at Bally's.
Hotel maid? Bell services? Valet? Concierge if we use for tickets?

Cab? Tip in addition to charge he says?

Tip at any shows for anything?

whatever you can think of. Educate me please.

Thank you. My husband and I leave tomorrow!! so excited.

Basically you TIP everywhere in Vegas, Husband is a big tipper so I'm going to give you my version of what you should tip-

Hotel Maid- $1 per person PER DAY (or $3-$5 per day minimum)
Bell Services- $2 per bag ($5 minimum)
Concierge- $5/$10 per transaction
Cabs- Depends on how much the trip costs- $7 trip- I would give $10 keep the change - $18 trip, I would give $25 keep the change - The amount you are told does not include tip, so just add it on yourself.
Tips at show- If they walk you to your seat, $1 per person

BIG ONE... TIP the WATRESS - drinks are Free at games in vegas, but MUST TIP the server, $1 per drink- EVEN IF YOU ASK FOR SODA or WATER. If you want extra fast service, tip HEAVY and they will keep coming back to you.

Basically in Vegas, you TIP everyone - even the desk person who give you room keys, tip them a $5 or More if they give you a nice room- If give a nice tip when you hand CC to them, they might even upgrade you to nicer room.

Even the counter services have tip jars, use your judgement there- also at Buffets, some of the "cooking" stations have tip jars (omlette station, stir fry stations) $1 per item is sufficient.

Have a BLAST!! Remember- What happens in Vegas Stays in Vegas!!!

When you get there pick up a Whats on Magazine. There will be a tipping guide line in it.
