Tipping for an upgrade at National

Ok, I know that cast members are forbidden from accepting tips at WDW, but has anyone ever tried to and had any success slipping an attendant at National a tip that resulted in an upgrade?

Ok, I know that cast members are forbidden from accepting tips at WDW, but has anyone ever tried to and had any success slipping an attendant at National a tip that resulted in an upgrade?

This is a great idea and I never thought of it. I have, on occasion, gotten upgraded just by asking, and other times by luck. But I have never even thought of a tip. I am going to be very interested in responses and I hope people will refrain from flaming you for asking the question.

Depends on whether the person has the authority and can justify it to their manager.
