Is the tip included with the buffet at Chef Mickey's breakfast? What is customary for buffet tipping if not

15-20 percent for good service. We have opted not to dine at chef mickeys they just raised prices and by the time we eat and tip its upwards of 150.00..

Tip is not included in the buffet prices. The consensus on this board is that the standard 18% tip is recommended. But I suppose anywhere between 15% and 20% would be good. Tip according to the service. If it's awesome - go high, just ok go with the lower end. If it's awful please tell the manager!

Chef Mickey's is great fun!! We go every year and we have never had a bad server. They are usually very attentive and swift with the refills.

Have fun.

Are you not going in 2008 and using a bounceback free dining ressie? If so this would be the trip to try Chef Mickey's again; you'd just pay tip! I can feel your pain paying adult rate for two of your children is a big hit to the family budget. Your kids are fortunate that you sacrafice to take them!

OP - tips are now only included with the dinner show prices, not buffets
- Luau
- Hoop Dee Doo
- Mickey's Backyard BBQ
- etc.

If you are on the dining plan taxes have already been paid with your DP fee.

Generally speaking I think of paying a smaller tip % at buffets. Last weekend our family of 3 ate for under $25 (we got our own plates and beverages) and I left $5, over 20%, but $5 seemed fair for 3 people. I think you can look at it from a % basis or per person basis. Our family of 2A 1C would have a $75 bill for dinner at Chef Mickey's. Not sure I'd leave a $15 tip there, but I don't think I'd leave less than $10 unless we got no service at all. They'd have to be almost disrespectful or really clueless to get less.

Trails End Buffet seems to be getting lots of good reviews. Maybe that coupled with the free Chip & Dale sing along and movie would be a good substitute for your growing family! For about $100 you could have dinner with ribs, fried chicken, carved meats and the trimmings!

Thanks we are not on the dining plan this year, but we are doing 3 sit downs and the rest CS here are the ones we picked..

Ohana-Dinner
Sci-Fi for lunch
Tusker House Breakfast

I was thinking about trails end but its just so far away and kinda hard to get to..But its a idea that I will think about..
