I need some advice regarding tipping. I've always tipped the valet person when I dropp off and when I pick up. My sister has a friend that told her you only tip when you pick up. What if it's not the same person? One person would get shorted right? Bellhops... We usually bring our bags into the hotel; however, this trip I'll have my sister and six kids. There is no way we could handle them and luggage. The guys will unload our luggage, but will different people take our luggage to our room? Again, I don't want to tip at the end leaving some people out. I'm also getting conflicting advice regarding how much to tip. Advice...
Thanks alot!

When we first pull up to valet the valet loads our bags onto the cart and takes the car away, we tip $5. Whenever we have our car put out for us we tip $5 but do not tip when I return the car.

We tip the bellhop $5 when he brings our bags up to the room and $5 when we leave.

They don't get shorted because they usually either pool their tips or they rotate thru their shifts so that they are on the tipping end for half their shift.

I only tip when he/she brings the car -- typically two bucks. (For years, I only gave a dollar, and then realized: "Hey, I've been giving them a dollar for 10 years now. What about inflation?"

As for luggage: rule of thumb is a dollar a bag, and I just tip the person who brings them to the room. Generally, it's more labor-intensive, and if they do their job well, they usually spend a few moments setting things up and telling you where to find the ice and stuff.

I tip both ways, $2 when they take the car and $2 when the bring it back. I tip the bellhop who brings the bags up to the room, around $5.

Tip the bell hop and the initial valet. I then tip the valet everytime they return my car.

Outside of Disney I've given tips to Valets on drop off on occasion if they do something really nice, like are waiting for me to open my door with an umbrella already open if its raining.

Feel free to tip anyone, any time :teeth: but generally, the Valet is tipped when/whenever you pick up your vehicle.
