Tipping at Palo's

We ended up leaving our server $40 in addition to the $20 charge for Palo because we just thought she was amazing. I based it entirely on her service which was fantastic.
If 50% of the $20 per couple Palo Dining Option fee goes for gartuities ($10), and if there was $40 tab for wine with a $6 autogratuity, then an additional $40 tip would bring the total gratuity to $56.

That's a very generous tip. I'm sure the service staff appreciated this generosity.

I just hope nobody avoids Palo just because they think a generous gratuity like this is expected from everyone. Again, officially the gratuity is included. In reality, it's likely you'll want to reward the fine service with an additional gratuity.

I agree that the waiters at Palo are amazing. It's like having your own personal assistant to tend to your every need. As a result, we tipped him far more than we'd ever tip on land -- because he was far better than any waiter we've ever had.

That being said, the DCL website specifically says that the gratuity is included, so people just can't be faulted for following DCL's own guidelines.
