tipping and the dining plan

Having never been to the usa let alone disney ,i really dont know much of how it works, especially tipping. when we booked (c beach)it included disney dining plan are you expected to tip on this dining method? i dont want to offend anybody, the closest you get to tipping over here is leaving a few quid at your local curry house on a saturday night.

When are you travelling? This year 18% tip is included in the dining plan, you may leave more if you wish for exceptional service, next year I believe the tip is being left out of the dining plan. There are some good threads on tipping if you do a search, as we have never been before tipping correctly is a bit of a concern of ours also, we don't want to appear mean through being ignorant so have read up a lot!!!

as previosly stated,if you got the DDP (free or paid)up to 31st december 2007.All tips,taxs are inclueded for a starter,entree,dessert and a non alcohlic drink.
Next year startting from Jan 1st 2008 the DDP(free or paid) will include taxs,entree,dessert and a non alcohlic drink.You will have to pay the tip yourself 18% and if you want a starter you will have to pay cash for it plus an 18% tip.The above is for Table service Quick service will remain the same as this year
