Tip Question?

I thought I read this somewhere, but can't find it now. Just want to be sure...is the tip included in the prepaid price for CRT breakfast and Hoop Dee Doo show?

Yes, for both, even if you are on the dining plan.

We just came back from the World in April. We did CRT and the tip was not included. I just double checked on AllEars. Although for HDDR the tip is included.

NOTE: Gratuity is no longer included unless otherwise indicated. An 18 percent gratuity will be added automatically for parties of 6 or more; a gratuity may also be added for items not included in the Dining Plan, such as alcoholic beverages.

Looked up some things and I did find some refences saying the gratuity is extra for CRT. So it looks like that may have changed recently; or these references were in error. Although I don't know how they would do that, since CRT is paid in full at booking.

WDW's own webpage info for CRT makes no mention of the gratuity at all.

However, the Dining Plan brochure is specific about saying that gratuities are included at CRT.

So, I guess we need to see more reports, or wait until Disney changes the brochure.

Interesting... has anyone booked a CRT meal recently without the Dining Plan, and can report exactly how much was billed to their credit card per diner?

I thought if you were paying for the meal, Disney charges the price of the meal, plus the tax, plus the tip, at the time of booking. IF that's true, it's interesting that the DDP bookings are not considered to have the equivalent value/cost...

When I booked my ADRs back in Feb for CRT and Hoop-Dee-Doo, the CM told me that Tipping WAS included for CRT & Hoop-Dee-Doo. I really dont know what to do about CRT now. I really dont wanna put another 15% tip on top of what I already paid. Maybe all ADRs that was booked before May, tip is included?

When I booked my ADR for CRT back in Feb. my credit card was charged for 2 adults for dinner, total $99.84. I just look on All Ears, for 2 adults for dinner it would be 40.99 per person, making it $87.31 (includes tax of 6.5% - $81.98 before tax). Being I paid $99.84 TIP was DEF. included!
