Hi all!
Just trying to nail down my budget for our June trip. We have already purchased(thru ticketmania) our tickets for the pirates adventure dinner theatre and the Outta Control Magic Show. Does anybody know if these tickets include gratuities? Or do we leave a tip on the table after the show? How much is suitable for this type of event?

Thanks!

you need to leave a tip - unless the tickets saves tip included.

Most in this country do not.

10% to 20% of the ticket price depending upon the service you receive - if awful service 5%.

All of the Disney shows(I believe) do say "gratuity included" that's why I was asking.

Now, the next question....I bought discounted tickets the price difference is quite large. Would you tip on the actual value?

Pirates Dinner Ticket Price $244.70, I paid $151
Outta Control Magic Show Ticket Price $90, I paid $79

There are 5 of us, 2 adults, 1 9yo, 2 12yos. I was thinking $20 tip at the magic show and $40 tip at the the pirate thing. What do you guys think?

:Pinkbounc Bumping because we leave next week. Any opinions on my tip amounts? Now I'm thinking I maybe should tip less as the price of the tickets includes the show, not just the food. Now I'm thinking maybe $15 and $30. What do you think?

Your ticket says gratuity included? I would not worry about tipping. I am big believer in tipping generously, too. (Developed this habit when sis was a waitress).
Unfortunately, I have read a lot of posts that say service is not so great on the dining plan and such when the wait staff already knows they are being tipped and what amount. That is a shame.
My plan is IF we get really good service, not average and definitely not poor, then I will tip a little extra to add to the included gratuity. (I hope the staff doesn't have to divide up tips at the end of the day as that would defeat my point.) I would normally reward outstanding service with a nice tip. I assume they are getting 15% guranteed. That is what I tip for fair to borderline poor service. If that is the type of service you get, I would personally would leave nothing extra. But, if wait staff goes above and beyond, I'd leave a little extra. I'd leave no more than $20 for the pirate dinner and no more than $10 for the magic show. I know you are concerned about your discounted ticket, but those are high ticket prices anyway and a lot of it is for the show and not the food. Even if the wait staff gets 15% off the $15O ticket that's already $22.50! You put an extra $10 or $20 with it that's pretty nice wage. I definitely would not leave $40/$20.
Now, if you order drinks that aren't included in the ticket price (unsure if even offered at those shows), I think you need to tip as you usually would for that.

We went to the Outta Control Magic Show last week and I think we left a $15 tip for 2 adults and 1 child. The servers really worked their butts off bringing us the unlimited drinks and pizza.

We didn't do Pirate's but we went to Sleuth's and I think we left $15 or $20 for the three of us.

No, my tickets do NOT say gratuity included. These are off site dinner shows.
OK--gotcha. IMO (again I tip generously) if you have really good service I would go with your first thought: $40 for pirates and $20 for magic. It is a bit of a hard call because a show is included in the ticket price. You may want to consider that...I suppose that is why you are posting. If it were me, I would still go at least around 15% of a compromise of the regular admission and your discounted tickets. So, unless service is just really great, but instead just average I would leave $30-$35/$15.
