I will be staying at PB Oct 8 & 9th! Booked a standard room!
What is the volume of people like at the park during OCTOBER time period and are the on-site hotels generous with UPGRADES if they have low occupancy? You folks are sooooo helpful on these info boards! Thanks sooooo much!

Stayed at PBH last week in Oct 2004. Booked standard room. We arrived mid-evening on a Sat night and were offered a 'double upgrade' to a deluxe room overlooking the beach pool with a view of the coaster tracks at IoA in the distance. We did not have to ask - the staff had already made the decision before we got there.

Interestingly, the hotel was full of folks attending an insurance conference and they had all been put together (bay views we thought). This made it more likely for an upgrade. Also those folks did not go near the pool making it almost deserted during the week.

Have a fab time

PBH is usually the most generous with upgrades. Most of the time you can get a deluxe room upgrade. It definitely helps to be a Loews First memeber. You will be there during a busy time because of HHN and Saturdays are always busy. If they don't offer you anything it can't hurt to ask.
