K-mart's adult sized water shoes are only 7.99 a pair, and are buy one get one 1/2 price this week!I'm not sure how much the child sized ones are. Just a tip for anyone looking for watershoes for waterparks! :D

Are the water shoes made by Speedos? I had gotten Speedo flops last year from Target...wondering if K-mart carried that brand.

I checked the inside of the shoes and all it says is "Surf Moc". I know a lot of the K-mart shoes are actually brand named shoes but with different names. But I'm not sure if these qualify under that. How much were the speedo ones at Target?

I remember paying 9.99 for the ones I have. I have to go over the K-mart and take a look. The hard plastic/rubber is bad for DH's feet, and the Speedos work for him because they are softer.

I got my water shoes at Payless (about $6 after the buy one get one offer). They are more comfortable (and cuter) than the Columbia's that I paid a lot of money for.

You really don't need them - the sidewalks are so watered down. We spent the whole day at TL 8/9 and had no problem. Now BB was another story because there was so much debris from Hurrican Charley our feet hurt, not from the hot sidewalk, but from the pineneedles everywhere. We were there the day after the hurricane - what a mess!

It's good to wear water shoes or flip flops when you go to water parks because they protect your feet from bruises, scrapes and/or losing a nail. YUCK! Also, when you go to use the bathroom and/or shower in the changing facilities, the floors are disgusting and filled with dirt, hair and more undesirable stuff. I don't think you want to put your feet in that.

For bathrooms, we put on flipflops on (that we keep by our beach chairs).

This could also be a topic like "Who Actually Wears Fanny Packs?". Very few people actually wore swim shoes while we were there last week! It's your own preference, just as fanny packs are. But it's an expense (though minor) that I can do without.
