Anyone who is a member of the Hotwire Savings Club would really benefit from this: Your $25 Circuit City cards can be take to the store and exchanged for higher value cards to be used online. You can only use 4 cards on the website but you can exchange as many cards as you want into a single (or more) denomination. The price online is always cheaper than the price in the store so this a great way to be able to use your cards.
Example: I purchased a $400 Panasonic Portable DVD player last week for about $140. (It's now sold out out). I took my $375 worth (15-$25 cards) to Circuit City and exchanged them for a $375 gift card (make sure they give you a card with a pin # so you can use it online). The DVD player sold for $400 in the store but was $315 online so with the 20% discount it was $252. Circuit City (sponsored by MSN) was also running a 10% rebate special on any purchase above $200 so I will get $31 back in the form of a gift card making the purchase $221. There is also a Circuit City rebate for $80 making the final cost $141 AND Panasonic is offering a FREE carrying case and car/airplane adapter with purchase.
The best deals are the ones that offer rebates because your 20% discount from using gift cards comes BEFORE the rebate.
Circuit City has been offering daily deals on certain items also. Yesterday, any purchase over $200 was rebated back 5% in form of gift card so check their website often.
Hope this helps someone out there. Happy Shopping!!!
