We've been flying out of Buffalo, and it has saved us a lot of money. Anyone who lives near that area should fly from the Buffalo airport. Also, we booked our flight online through Southwest (I know it's a crap airline, but the prices make up for it), and for a roundtrip with 5 people, we paid almost $700! Booking online actually saves you a lot of money, we were going to booke through the phone, but the price was about $1500!

To reiterate: Fly from Buffalo, through Southwest, and book it online. Do it! NOW! :p

I wouldn't say SW is a crap airline at all. They are almost always on time, friendly crew and great prices.

I'm going to Costa Rica on a school trip. It's from April 4-16. We're staying in an eco-community called Durika (http://www.durika.org/). My school does it every year, so they get a pretty good deal, it's costing me about $2500... I'm sure you could stay in Durika on your own (not through a school), but it would probably cost you a lot more. If you have any other questions, just ask.

I needed a winking smilie :)

Sorry, I'll remember that next time :p

Other cheap airports to fly out of if you live in Eastern Ontario or Western Quebec are Syracuse, New York and Burlington, Vermont with JetBlue. As soon as flights are published, you can get a return seat for as low as $158USD/person plus service charges. We priced flights out of Ottawa or Montreal and for a family of four it would have been $2400CDN. For a two and half hour drive, we will be paying $725USD. The price difference is due to every level of government in Canada wanting a piece of the pie and most of the cost of the flights are taxes.

Just booked out of Buffalo SWA for two return for $271.00 This for April 2007. Couldn't be more thrilled as this is way cheaper than driving.

That's a great rate soupy11! What are your dates for April?:)

We are incredibly flexible so we took a Thursday 19th to Friday 27th date. This unlocked the $59 rate each way....very happy with it.

That's a really good rate! Yes we're very flexible too and it saves quite a bit when you can play around with your dates. We flew down last Feb on a DING for $32.00 each way!!! What a great find that was but I haven't seen any DINGS for a long time from Buffalo to Orlando.:guilty:

Happy planning!;)

Just saw $65 one way in early March. (before March break of course) Now I gotta figure how to get back that cheap! :surfweb:
