Tinkerbell's New Look

As a long time fan of Tinker Bell, I think she looks adorable (but then, I'm rather a tom boy myself at times). The princesses all have different outfits for different activities so it makes sense that Tink would as well. As I recall from the trailers from the Lost Treasure, she's off on a quest and, while her iconic outfit is well suited to Pixie Hollow and playing games with the Lost Boys, it's a little impractical for "adventuring". The little capelet is a nice touch.

I think she looks rather cute in her autumn clothing... Can't wait to see her winter outfit

Well...it will sell more clothes for Tink dolls...but just who thought this was a good idea?????

Looks like she raided the Jolly Green Giant's pal "Little Green Sprout's" closet!!!!

:rotfl2:Oh my goodness, I used to HAVE one of those plastic Green Giant dolls back in the 70's!! (not Sprout as I don't believe he was even a twinkle in someone's eye yet). My grandmother used to save every label and UPC symbol ever because there used to be all of these cool things you could mail away for ... I even still have my Campbell's soup personalized soup bowl!

But I digress.

I'm in the "do not like the new look" camp, too. Slightly too boyish for my tastes.

I kinda like the outfit. I suppose that if they were actually doing away with her old look and just having this one that I would object to the change, but that's not the case.

(BTW, Sprout was introduced in the early seventies; either '72 or '73, I think.

My daughter is into Tink right now. Her room has her on every wall and the closet has her calendar. The bedspread is one big Tink. So, I am very used to the regular look. This version isn't so bad. She looks ready for adventure.

BTW, I had to repaint the room from a princess purple - the color was from the Disney pallet, Midnight something or other. It is now blue, which matches one version of the bedsheets. DD(9) isn't much of a "pink" person. Tink is a great fit for her, especially this type of ready for adventure outfit. Guess I'll have to start looking for the costume. At least the leggings and long sleeves will hold up better at Halloween. She wore the regular Tink one year for school, but didn't wear it for trick or treating because it was too cold.

I think Tinker Bell's new Autumn wardrobe is cute - as long as they don't replace her original outfit completely. :hippie:

I also love the fact that her pompoms have been added to her knee-high boots! :goodvibes

You are correct! At least, according to Wikipedia Sprout came about in 1973 so I may have gotten a jolly green giant doll that pre-dated him. Boy, DD is right, I AM old. :hippie:

i kinda like it - makes sense too since she's more of an "i'll do it" tinker fairy over the "Pretty flower" fairies.

i think it's about time they gave her a second outfit - heck - all the princesses have 2 outfits LOL

it's a nice travel outfit suitable for a new adventure

this one is very "impish" she's trying too hard for Peter to want her instead of Wendy.

:rotfl2: Too funny!

I don't mind that they gave her an autumn outfit, but I didn't get the feeling that it was a temporary outfit change. They added a belt for things she may need......can't she just use her pixie dust and fly back to her fix it shop for her tools? They aren't trying to make her a super hero are they?

If so, I'm going to have to change my dis-name, my license plate, and :scared1: the list keeps growing in my head. I am not the tomboy Tink. I'm a teeny little Kindergarten teacher with spunk and a rear a little bit too big for my liking. I am the Peter Pan movie Tink, not the new Pixar, tomboy, need a belt for my fix it gadgets Tink. :sad2:

My DD3 is a Tinkerbell fanatic, so i'm coming into my own on trying to know Tinkerbell. As soon as I saw her outfit, I felt like someday soon the Tinkerbell movies....last 2 releases including the lost treasure, Disney might somehow be positioning themselves to tie in Peter and Tinkerbell somehow. I just felt that this might explain her outfit we see now in Lost Treasure it might not be an accident she looks like Peter...I might just be blowing smoke. I'm not certain as to the timeline of Peter Pan and the Tinkerbell movies.....In Tinkerbell's first Movie we just learned about Wendy, so maybe soon, another movie maybe in the next couple of years might tie it all in:thumbsup2
