I'm starting to worry about our trip. We are driving down and the way gas prices are going up again I am really wondering if there is even going to be a trip. I told my DH that if gas went back up to $3-$4 that the trip would be off. Here latley for around me gas has been around $2.38 and just now I got a text that it's $2.65.
The $3 mark is getting closer and closer.
To top it off we bought a 2006 Trailblazer to use for our trip {not just to use for our trip but we also needed something to get around in the snow and ice} and it's ok on gas mileage. Alot better then what my 1999 Plymouth minivan was, but not quite as good as my DH's car. We really don't want to use his car cause the kids would be crowded in the backseat and there really isn't alot of cargo room in the back. To give you an idea, we went to Kings Island last year. Since it's a 3 hour drive we decided to stay the night and I had the back so packed it was unreal. And this was only for one night. No way I could put as much as we need for 7 nights for 5 people back there.
I know we still have along time before our trip, but really does seem just like yesterday I looked at my ticker and had over 6 months to go. So it's getting closer quicker and quicker. That's a good thing, but I hope gas starts going down, down, down.
**SIGH** Anyone else driving and worried about gas prices?
