Tinkerbelle Size (SINGLE) Royal Carriage Swap

I'm starting to worry about our trip. We are driving down and the way gas prices are going up again I am really wondering if there is even going to be a trip. I told my DH that if gas went back up to $3-$4 that the trip would be off. Here latley for around me gas has been around $2.38 and just now I got a text that it's $2.65. The $3 mark is getting closer and closer. To top it off we bought a 2006 Trailblazer to use for our trip {not just to use for our trip but we also needed something to get around in the snow and ice} and it's ok on gas mileage. Alot better then what my 1999 Plymouth minivan was, but not quite as good as my DH's car. We really don't want to use his car cause the kids would be crowded in the backseat and there really isn't alot of cargo room in the back. To give you an idea, we went to Kings Island last year. Since it's a 3 hour drive we decided to stay the night and I had the back so packed it was unreal. And this was only for one night. No way I could put as much as we need for 7 nights for 5 people back there.
I know we still have along time before our trip, but really does seem just like yesterday I looked at my ticker and had over 6 months to go. So it's getting closer quicker and quicker. That's a good thing, but I hope gas starts going down, down, down.

We are driving again this year and I am worried too, we are from Cape Cod Massachusetts and drove down around Thanksgiving, the whole gas bill came to under $300.00 in my Honda Odessey, but gas was around $2.00, I budgeted $400.00 for this trip, anything more and I am in trouble

Okay, I got the story on the bag. It's a brown and white bag with fish on it. The reason I was not given the bag when I checked in is because my last name was not on the claim ticket. I am assuming your last name is on it kappyfinn(they wouldn't give me that info). I had to verify the contents of the bag before he would give me any information on it. The bag was sent to long term storage and will need to be picked up in person by someone. The person who picks it up will need to describe it and tell the contents of the bag before it will be released.

I'm not sure what to do from here. I will PM parkers*momma and see if she has any ideas. I don't know if the next person in line can pick up the bag or if the person who I delivered it to would be willing to go to SSR before they take it to Port Orleans. I feel badly about this, but I am glad I posted. Otherwise it might not have been found. I'll wait for parkers*momma to respond before I do anything else.

As far as I remember there were a couple of ponchos, a tire pump, the tray, a envelope with the instructions to put the stroller together, a extra sun shade... Seems like there might have been a couple more things but I'm not positive. Naming all of those things should be good enough though.

If I can get the resort it was left at...I'll be on the phone tonight calling them and having it delivered to the next swapper.

Sounds to me, a Cm was having a bad day because the could have easily picked up the phone and called to have it delivered. BUt I will be on it as soon as I get home from work.

A lil heads up- My son is home on a 10 day leave so this is one Momma who won't be online much (only when he is with his friends). He's heading to North Dekota for 2 years when he leaves. That's a blessing! anyway, I have 9 days left before he leaves.

We were going to drive, but the flights have come so far down for us, it really is going to be cheaper for us to fly. I was able to get $49 one way flights on Airtran. One of the flight is the night before I want to go, but even staying in a cheapo hotel for one night nad being there bright and ealy will be cheaper and easier than driving, (where we would have had spend one night in a hotel on the wy down anyway as it is a 14 hour trip. )

If anyone happens to look at postcards, can you check and see if there are any with the Jonas Brothers on them? Friend of mine has a daughter who is in LOVE with them and when we get there I would like to send her one.

Plus where is the best place to buy them that has a good selection once at Disney? I have a few I want to send out this trip. I never thought about sending any out until our trip was almost over and then just never did it.

I hear you, because of this I have packed a couple of tie wraps. Be sure to have a pair of scissors handy before you leave the desk!

I also did not know about a fishy bag until we got a call that there was a bag being delivered from Saratoga for us. We got it on Saturday night, it sure would have been nice to have earlier, but we managed just fine. DH got the stroller and the fishy bag dropped off this morning but he did not get a claim #. Sorry about that. I hope the next swapper gets everything and I have not caused a problem. Never send a man to do a job without writing down all details of instructions.
The stroller is holding up just fine and looks great besides the fraying.

I am glad that you had a great trip. Sorry that you did not get the fishy bag until your last day. I am happy that you managed and that the stroller is holding up. As long as you attached all the needed info to the stroller for the incoming swapper it should be fine.(keeping my fingers crossed).
