Has anyone done this lately? Wake up Tink? I know my DD's did it in 2005 and loved it. They ran, yes ran, down Main Street to do this. The park opened and they were off before you could say wait. :cool1: An older girl also did and beat them. She was holding her sister's spot. The lady at the store let all 3 girls do it together. I thought that was an awesome idea. They loved the Peter Pan certificate and all. Do they still do this? Has anyone done it lately?

We did it in April. We were a part of a grand gathering, so all of the moms and kids walked up Main St., through castle to Fantasyland while the dads went to Space Mtn to get Fastpasses. We didn't rush up Main St. It was the week after Easter at rope drop (7:00 am) and when we got to the other side of the castle, I noticed a CM was standing out waving a Mickey Hand in front of Tink's Treasures. I asked her if Tinker Bell was still sleeping and she said yes. We were supposed to go ride Dumbo, but we detoured into the store to wake up Tinker Bell. It was cute. The kiddos all held onto the bell and shook it, yelling for Tinker Bell to wake up. The fiberoptics around the store started light up as though she flew over them. Then Tinker Bell appeared in the screen in the area behind the register. She blew a kiss and then flew off. They gave every one in our group certificates, not just the kids. It was neat.

They also do something special for the 1st riders at Buzz Lightyear. My DH and brother practically carried my boys, running down Main St, through the shortcut, and to the area where they have another rope to hold everyone back. A CM asked who was riding Buzz and our group yelled that they were. They let them through and were waiting at the front of the line for us to join them after we got there...I was pushing a double stroller, so we couldn't go as fast. Our group was smaller that morning, so we all got to ride the ride first and they gave us complimentary photos from the ride to commerate it as well as a certificate. We had heard the Buzz sometimes rides the 1st ride, but he didn't that day. It was still cool to open up the ride regardless.

I'm hoping to do this next month - I think my DD would really get a kick out it! We have an 8 am BBB appt on a 9am rope drop day, so I am crossing my fingers that we'll be able to make it there in time.

ding dang it we have missed out on this the last 2 years, oh well we'll have to try again in Sept

My three kids did this March '09.
We booked an early appt at BBB so we would be right there at RD. The rope is literally right outside the door to BBB. Stand on the left side of the rope and run to the gift shop right there.
I think they even got a special trading pin.

My daughter woke up Tinkerbelle after a late breakfast in the Castle. She just asked the cast memeber if she could wake up Tinkerbell and they said of course she was always taking naps and it was time for her to wake up. They also gave her a certificate and sprinkled pixie dust in her hair. It was a great experience.

We were just there the 6th -13th. My dd got to call Tinker bell on the 12th. Tinker bell had already been woken up at by the time we got there. But she said well you can call her back. My dd still got a certificate and it was still special.

Mrsdennsion's sister here...:lmao: We were there the same time frame (family thing)...my daughter also got to "call" Tink back from Pixie Hollow as she had already been woken up. She got a certificate as well and the sales lady dusted her with "pixie dust" as well, that is still in her hair I might add! It was later in the morning...after my sister and her daughter went I believe...as we were all on our own that day after CRT for breakfast.

Well we were there last Sept and I went in and asked as I had heard that usually they will do something special and the 2 women that were working in there said NO she is awake totally spoiling my daughters afternoon, would it have killed them to just let her call Tink???? some people can really ruin it for some but for it too be a CM that really takes the cake:confused3 I will return again this year hopefully they won't ruin it again for her
