don't forget that tink was actualy able to make her self big in the Movie Hook for a short period of time using her magic.

I was thinking that too. Was Hook a Disney film? I can't remember, but I know I liked it.

Nope. It was a Steven Spielberg film made for Amblin Entertainment and Tristar.

Woah, this is a surprise (for me, at least)!!! This is awesome news!!! I'd think I'd rather prefer her to be pantomime, but oh well. That's so great - after years of waiting, guests can FINALLY meet Tinker Bell!!!!

Subscribing to this thread and hope everyone has good news on the whereabouts of Tink.....I got some good pictures of her in the P&P parade and was thinking that it was encouraging to see her in a parade...now meet and greet.....just blows my mind.

I wish it were true!! Tink out meeting would be an incredible addition to the character rosters!

Though I had someone tell me they met Tinkerbelle before, and it turns out they really met Wendy - they just mixed up the female characters from the Peter Pan movie. So I'll believe Tink when I see a photo!

they have. i know sora used to be out (for MNSSH only?), maybe a couple of others. he hasn't been out in years. i'm sure the last time he was out was really as a tie-in with the release of kingdom hearts: chain of memories. just like thumper is used as a shill for bambi movies.

dont think he was out at all for KH2 but maybe for the next edition.

As a huge Tinker Bell fan, I think it's exciting to finally have a Tink Meet 'N Greet. HOWEVER, if she does in fact "speak", it will be very disheartening. A large part of Tink's charm/brilliant character design is her communication through pantomime.

I've slowly come to terms with the fact that she will be speaking in her movie, but I think bringing it into the parks will be too much!

As cool as it would be to see Tink, I'm going to have to figure out how to explain this to my daughters! DD (5 years) told me recently that the reason that we don't see Tinkerbell out greeting people is that she's too tiny!

You could tell her that when she stops at Disney to say hi,that they have magical fairy water that allows her to appear for a brief time to say to all her friends.

I always thought Tink spoke, just in her own langauge that Peter could understand. I guess I thought it was so small a voice we couldn't hear it. I guess that was my interpretation of it.

Think about it? Mickey is a mouse, how many 5 foot mice do you see. Pluto walks on 2 legs and he is usually on all four. A 5 foot chicken, what about Chip and dale, have you seen the size of Chipmunks? The mice in Cinderella movie are tiny but in Disney they are 5 feet!

kingdom hearts is a video game series. it's a somewhat mature game (aimed at older kids, but not for anything inappropriate) that features disney characters in supporting roles.

Not trying to get anyone's hopes up, but there should be minimal to no chance of meeting Tinkerbell right now. Shall we say, she's unprepared for such interaction at this point. Even random meet and greets should be at least a month or more away. Not saying that someone could not have seen her, just saying, don't plan your day around it!

I agree. And look at Mickey who is a mouse and has a DOG!! In reality, a dog is WAY bigger than a mouse, yet Mickey and his dog are proportioned to be the same size.

unless jlindley knows something i don't (which isn't that difficult afterall), i wouldn't even put it out in a month. i've been guesstimating next summer at the earliest and nobody has disputed it yet. it's a tie-in with the film which will be released towards the end of next year. the rumors had even continued to persist that tink would start this past august which made some sense because that was the original release date for the film.

that said, like i said, i have heard reports (but still no visual confirmation) that she's been out. not even recently, but months ago.

which by the way is not uncommon.

Oh I completely agree. 1 month would be way way earlier than expected. I was simply saying there's no way it could possibly officially happen before then.
