Tinkerbell pin?

I was just looking around e-bay, and saw a 2004 Tinkerbell DVC pin, with the Members are Magical logo. Does anyone know what these are from??

Here's some info I found on the DVC pins - the retail is $6.50


A series of limited edition pins have been designed for DVC Members exclusively. One pin will be released each quarter beginning in February 2004. On Sunday January 18, 2004, a special OPEN EDITION pin will be released that will be available for the entire year. This Open Edition Disney Vacation Club Members only pin features Tinker Bell. It is dated "2004" and says "Members Are Magical."

These pins are only available to DVC Members. To purchase the pins, DVC Members must show their valid membership ID and request the pin at the merchandise location's counter. Regular limited edition purchase restrictions apply (2 per guest, per day). Pins available while supplies last.

All pins will be available at the following merchandise locations at the Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Vacation Club locations:

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park - Island Mercantile
Magic Kingdom - Exposition Hall
Disney-MGM Studios - Sorcerer's Hat
Epcot - Pin Central
Disney's BoardWalk Villas
Disney's Beach Club Villas
The Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge
Disney's Old Key West Resort
Disney's Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa (after opening)
Disney's Vero Beach Resort
Disney's Hilton Head Resort

These actually came out a few days early. We were leaving WDW on the 17th, and they were supposed to come out on the 18th, so I was having fellow DVC members from Rochester who was there and staying a few days longs pick some up.

Friday night we were at the Pin trading shop at DTD and the upcoming pin display said they were out so DW and I both went and got one. These are NOT limited edition, just limited to DVC members (we had to show our dvc membership cards).

I think I need to clarify a bit....

the tinkerbell ones are OPEN EDITION pins (limited to DVC members).

But from the text iluvdisney posted from the www.officaldisneypintrading.com site (I believe) looks like the ones coming out each queater start in Feb WILL be LIMITED EDITION.

O.K. so here is the question. We will be down in March so the opening Tink pin and the first quarterly pin will be available. How are we going to get the others? I don't plan on visiting every quarter. I hope I don't have to pay inflated Ebay prices.

Maybe we could start a little buying club. Sort of take care of each other.

I would be up for that! I won't be going until September or October, so I won't be able to get the first two or three.

I'll be at HH the end of May and OKW the beginning of November. I'd love to collect all of these pins and willing to join in on any pin buying club that starts up.
Does anyone know if there is a limit on how many you can buy per Member ?

I've read that there's a limit of 2 pins per member per day. The other pins to be released are to be limited to 5000 and will retail at $10.50 - members will have to show a valid membership card to purchase them.

If anyone wants to pin trade on these - I'm going down in March and can get extras if they aren't all gone by then. My 1st Q for your 2nd Q etc.
