Hello fellow wdw parents!!

We will be leaving for our trip in 50 days!! We are going for nine days with our almost five and two year old daughters. :-) My mom and adopted Mimi are joining us for the first part of the trip and sooo excited! I read that some parents have done a 'gift from Tinkerbell' which I think is an adorable idea!

What sort of gifts would y'all do? Do you wrap them? How often do you do a gift? I think my girls would love something from Tink!! Maybe even something as simple as a special card or something?

Thank you sooo much!!

I did it when my oldest dd was 4. She was so thrilled. I knew our schedule ahead of time so I was able to print up little note cards at home...one for each night. They'd say something like "I flew by you yesterday when you were at MK. Did you see me too? I'm leaving you a special glow stick to take with you to the fireworks tonight. Maybe the light will help you find me easier. Have fun!"
I just got little dollar store things that related to the day. On the first day I got her a gift card from Tink with her weeks spending money on it. Getting little Tink gifts was great because if she saw something in the parks that she wanted but I didn't want to pay for I would just say, "not now. Let's see if Tink brings you anything"

We are planning to take our 3 granddaughters the first full week of January and plan to do Tinkerbell gifts. Each will have a Tinkerbell bag (same material as the reusable grocery bags) in which Tink will leave a gift for them to discover each morning. The gifts are related to the park/activities we have planned for that day - inexpensive binoculars for watching animals in Animal Kingdom, small tiara for Princess Breakfast, etc.

I have boys so we really never did "tinker bell gifts", but did, and still do for the little guy, give special things. I like things they need anyway with a disney theme. New PJ's or gown in their favorite princess or character waiting on their bed after their bath the first night, a new t-shirt each morning that sorta themes the park of the day, disney themed toothbrushes, bath gel etc. One year when older DS was little I found Disney themed bath finger paint soap and it was a perfect way to spend a bit of time in the tub and wind down at night. I look for any WDW themed snacks...fruit snacks, mickey shaped cheese, the character shaped juice bottles etc. They LOVED those character shaped juice bottles and while costly, still much cheaper than a cup at WDW. I would have a new one out each day for breakfast and then we would rise and carry it into the park to pour drinks into to drink for the day! Glow items of any kind are great. The $ tree did have mickey glow wands not long ago. A light up toy for a night you are doing night time shows is great and saves a ton of money. Don't give anything in the morning that you don't want to carry into the park. Its hard to get that perfect stuffed toy and then have to leave it on the bed. For little girls, i think a crown or a princess necklace would be nice. If you have down time in the room, a disney themed coloring book, or princess paper dolls or for my guys, a new disney themed game for leap pad or DS was a hit.
I really did never have had a system for when or how often, just lots of pop up surprises for when the item work for. Have fun!!!!!

Thank you soo much!!! These ideas are adorable!!! I see a trip to the $ store and party city in my near future!! I can't wait to plan these and girls will love them!! Thank you!!

We aren't doing tinkerbell gifts...we are doing olaf gifts. I wrapped them in snowflake wrapping paper and printed little cards with his picture on them. I plan to write a little note on each card and attach it to the gifts. I thought about writing them ahead of time but I want to be able to write about little things that happen while we are there. Like congratulating them on a good behavior choice they made that day or recalling something special that happened. That makes it feel more personal to me than a generic, prepared ahead of time note. We plan to give them in the evening mostly, but occasionally at afternoon break. The gifts themselves are little things like princess bath toys, disney dive sticks for the pool, a new bedtime story book, a sticker book, a new coloring book and new box of crayons, some new disney tshirts, a magic clip doll or two. I don't think I've paid more than 5-6 bucks for any of them, except the princess bath toys and both of my girls will play with those. We are staying for ten days and I have a little something for each day. I'm hoping it cuts down on their desire to buy more expensive souvenirs. Though they will get gift cards as one of their first olaf presents so they will have some spending money too.

We just got back from our first trip in September. I did Tinkerbell gifts too.

In our travel bag I had a gift card with Elsa on it and you can even personalize the note. Disney Store online.

Each day I had a cute outfit out on her bed plus things that hinted to the day activities. Autograph book on the first morning, princess tattoos, glow wands, etc.

I started collecting things from the Disney Store, Old Navy, Party City, Dollar Store, etc. You will find that there is everything Disney!

Here is a link to Tinkerbell gifts in my Trip Report! Have fun!

My kids are older and I'm still planning on doing little gifts when we are there. I usually do things like a gift card one night, toothbrushes one night, pajamas one night, a cupcake or other fun treat one night, etc. The older ones 'play along' so that the youngest one gets the magic they got when they were his age. It's fun!

Thank you everyone for your brilliant ideas!!! Love it! I got part of our Tinkerbell gifts and it was fun! Going to party city to get the rest and get the GC as well! Thank you again!!

I plan on getting some Tinkerbell gifts so it'll cut down on the spending while we are there. Glow sticks, Disney pajamas, etc. Have you looked at AC Moore, they have lots of inexpensive Frozen things, like charm bracelets.
