My kids are young and in bed by 8pm so we haven't seen any of the Disney fireworks on our two family trips. I keep reading about the MK (Wishes?) fireworks with Tinker Bell on a wire but only in perfect weather conditions, etc. I'm totally confused... Is Tink actually a REAL person "flying" down the wire??? Thanks for the info :teeth:

I took the Keys to the Kingdom tour and our host talked about it. Yes, it's a real person and it's labeled as the best job in the parks. The girl gets paid for 8 hours of work then going down the cable only takes 30 seconds.

Well, there are 2 schools of thought on this.

A) Tinkerbell is a little fairy that flies on her own during the show.

B) Its a "real live person" who wears a lighted Tinkerbell costume and "flies down a wire".

Whichever one you believe, its a sight well-worth seeing. :thumbsup2

Ah the weather!!!! Now it makes sense!! I couldn't figure out why she was there some nights and not others.....

I think this is what's known in the theater world as "non-traditional casting."

Yeppers!

I did a multi-camera video recording of Fantasmic! this year.

My "A" camera had a "tight-zoom" lens.

I had to avoid shooting too tight as you could see LOTS of things on-stage that were not supposed to be visible from the seats.

When I edited, I loved to see the action "up-close"... but I cut away when I thought I might be revealing too much.

Its a delicate line.

Another case of Greg Brady/Johnny Bravo... he fit the suit. :rotfl2:

Sit at the edge of the Noodle place in Tomorrowland. Tink flies right over your head. My 12-year-old daughter's life ambition now is to be Tink.

thats not to far from where I took those pics. ;)

Have you seen what Tinkerbelle does in DisneyLand?? She flys all around the castle ALOT!! must be there for at least a full minute if not more. All with fireworks and Walts voice in the background. I for one would like to remain in the fantasy land that Tink flys out of the castle and leave all those conspiricy theorys to everyone else! :goodvibes

My dd thinks that the green light in her smoke detector in her room is Tink watching to see if she's being good. It works!!!!! :thumbsup2

Another reason is that Tink has to be weighed with her uniform and "flying aids" (wings or harness) just before she flies. And if she's had a little too much fairy food (or Mickey ice cream bars), her flight is cancelled at the last minute.
