Has anyone heard how she made out today. She was supposed to have some kind of surgery today. I just did not know if I missed it somewhere else.

Hope all is well with you Tinker. And that everything went well today. I thought about you all day.

Tinker and her DH have the flu. The kiddos had it first and now they have it.
They post-poned the surgery until Friday.

Here I am...Yep surgery postponed - (really because of the snow mostly) sorry I had everyone worrying. No worrying until friday at 3:15

Whew! Glad you're all sorta kinda ok. I'm running around here saying, "OMG, if *they* all have the flu, we're all going to get the flu!" (We were all together on Saturday.) Gotta love the DHs...the poor creatures - they are all the WORST at delivering accurate phone messages! TTFN...

For us it is a cold, for the guys, it becomes the flu. They are usually such babies when they are sick. At least I know mine is.

"man flu" is obviously far worse than any female ailment - someone texted into te BBC yesterday (they were discussing whether epidurals should be restricted) to say "stop complaining about childbirth, I stubbed my toe and it really hurt"

When my Eldest was still a little one, I got hit with the flu really bad. I still had to take care of him and laundry and dinner. When my DH came home from work I asked if he would look after Eldest while I went to take a nap. He's like "it can't be that bad" "suck it up" "you're a Mom now, you can't be whining". So for almost a week I "sucked it up". Then HE gets hit with it. He goes and holds up in the spare room for THREE days. I kid you not. He stayed in that room with me bringing him food & meds for THREE days. He is then like "Oh, if I knew how bad it was I wouldn't have teased you so much." MEN!!

I still give him tons of grief about that.
