Timing within a Disney trip

Hello! I'm planning on taking my bf to Disney for the first time March 4-9. He's not big on Disney, so I said we'd go to US/IOA for a day.

I'm trying to decide when in our trip would be best. My initial thought was Thursday, but I'm now considering splitting up the Disney days and going Tuesday. Any thoughts on this?

I had wanted it near the end so I don't hear unfavorable comparisons to ruin the rest of the time at Disney.

The crowd calendars seem to think Disney will be less crowded on Thursday? That's another reason behind my contemplating options.

I'd honestly consider moving over to Universal for the end of the trip. Head over bright an early, drop off your luggage, pick up Express Passes (if you stay at one of the 3 hotels that include it), hit the parks for early entry. Check out the next day.
