Timing - When should we get on the bus for EMH?

My trip (many months away) ... I was planning on going to MK on 8/27 .. which happens to be EMH (wanted to go because it is my son's birthday). So it opens at 8:00 AM.

What time do I need to get my slow moving family (myself included in that slowness) at the bus stop at Pop Century to make it for that early time? 7:00 AM?

I've haven't recently done a rope drop at the parks. What rides are usually open during that first hour? What is best to hit ASAP (considering we will have a 3 year old .. and potentially 6 more members of my family (inlaws) in tow.

Are Fast Passes given out for that early hour? Or just during the normal operating hours?

My general plan was to hit a ride or two during the EMH . and then take it slower and start working on the Fast Passes (if we can get enough of them for the morning hours)

Yes, be at the bus stop at least an hour before EMH starts.

Only some attractions are open during EMH. This link has a list of those attractions: http://allears.net/tp/emhour.htm

FPs start at regular park opening. You will want to book them at 60 days out to ensure you get the attractions and times you want. We usually aim to start our FPs for late morning, since most rides have short standby times during the first few morning hours.

Especially at MK, you can get quite a few rides done during that AM EMH hour.
All of Tomorrowland attractions and all of Fantasyland attractions will be open.
