Timing: Trader Sam's before Ohana Saturday night?

I managed to score an 8PM Ohana reservation on Saturday, September 8, which is arrival day.

My sister (who loves all things Tiki kitsch) and I want to do Trader Sam's as well. I figure "Two Birds, One Stone" and do Trader Sam's on the same night. Our parents are joining us as well.

How long should I give it? I was thinking a 6-6:15 arrival in case of a longer wait and then we can check in for our dinner afterwards by 7:50 or so.

Are the wait times just a crapshoot, or are they more predictable now?

It's not that. It's just that spending a billion on drinks at Trader then Ohana is like the last choice we would make. We go on separate days. Both fun and awesome.

Although I've never been to Trader Sam's...I would think it would be very busy on a Sat night and would probably have a line to get in

I just wanted a kind of estimate of timing. I'm probably going to stick with 6, or so... Worst that happens is I don't get in at all or I get in right away and have to sit and let my body process my overpriced drink.

I'm having a drink before dinner and then skedaddling back to the hotel; not planning on spending more than a $20 or so.

I didn't want to sacrifice my only other non-park night to go, especially before/after going to Boma at 6. I didn't want to travel to two separate resorts.

Similar situation for us, but a Friday night and 9 pm ‘Ohana adr. I was planning to arrive 6:30 and figuring a 45-60 minute wait. If we get in earlier, that is fine. We can retire to Tiki Terrace for another drink or wherever they have Tambu set up temporarily.
