Timing to get places from CR

I've been trying to plan our mornings, hoping to ensure that we get where we need to be on time. We have two morning reservations and I'm just wondering when we have to leave CR to ensure we aren't late for our ADRs.

We're staying in the GW. How long will it take us to walk from there to BOG for a 10am breakfast? We were hoping to have a little time to relax by the pool before heading out but I have no idea how long average waits are at the MK gates or the time it takes to walk to BOG from the gate.

Also, if we want to get to EP for 7:45 for a PPO ADR, do we take a bus? I'm guessing the monorail doesn't run that early. Do buses line up right in front of CR? How early should we leave our room to ensure we're to the buses and to EP for 7:45?

Thank you!!

Your two questions are somewhat difficult to peg exactly because of the variables involved, particular time to get through the MK entrance. I've zoomed right through at 9:30 and I've been in a soul-crushing sea of humanity at that time. Hard to predict!

For the 10AM BOG reservation, I'd leave your room no later than 9:15 and probably more like 9AM. I'm assuming you're walking from CR. Big variables include the speed you walk and congestion at the MK entrance. If this were us I'd leave plenty early and just enjoy a leisurely stroll to MK / down Main Street as you make your way back to BOG.

For the Epcot PPO ADR, bus is the way to go. Highly likely monorail won't be running that early. The CR bus area is out front, easy to spot. However, if possible, you may want to seriously consider taking a cab or uber. That is pretty much my go-to for an Epcot PPO ADR. It's just so hard to predict when to be at the bus stop, how long that will take, if the bus is going to pick up somewhere else along the way, etc. It's so much easier to take matters into your own hands with a cab.

I'd catch a cab no later than 7:30.

Hope that is helpful.

Thanks so much for your help, @GADisneyDad14, I really appreciate it! It's just good to know when we should be heading out the door rather than wondering if we're leaving too early or late.

Although I will warn you....it is Disney, so usually better to leave too early than too late! Everything just tends to take longer than you think it will.

Some people might accuse my times of being too aggressive, but like you I don't like to leave really early for things.

Good luck!

I agree with GADisneyDad14. A lot depends upon crowds, which is really hard to predict. It is best to allow extra time and have a leisurely walk up Main Street. It has been our experience that they are quite strict about check in times at BOG. We arrived about 5 minutes prior and they refused to check us in, we had to leave the line, go wait 5 minutes and get back in line to check in.

I would add that we like to get a cab to the Beach Club (if going to a WS ADR) and walking through the IG entrance.

Definitely good points to keep in mind. And I didn't realise that BOG wasn't a spot you didn't to show up early, so that's helpful, too.

By walking through IG, do you save time if it's first thing in the morning? Would that be a quicker walk to GG than going through the main gate?

For GG, front entrance is your better bet, IMO.

Also FWIW, I love GG as a Epcot PPO ADR. It's sort of a cheesy place but we almost consider it a must-do every trip. Love the charachter interaction. Now BOG on the other hand... eh.... (sorry, getting off topic!)

Good to know! I haven't really read much about GG and just took the ADR because it seemed like one of the only places to eat a fun EP breakfast. I think my kids will love it.

We have a mid-morning BOG another day and are trying to decide whether to keep it or go with CP, which is booked for the same time. Do you mean that BOG is not that great? The menu looks so good but I'm not sure which ADR to keep.

OK, for GG which is in Future World, it is just as well, or better, to go to the main entrance. The International Gateway puts you into World showcase. It might not be much difference walking from either entrance, but you have to walk from the BC as opposed to be let off by the cab at the main gate.

We love BOG, but not everyone does. (Sorry GADisneyDad14! LOL) CP and BOG are very different experiences. CP is a buffet with characters while BOG is essentially a QS where they bring your food to the table. You preorder your food and pay upon arrival. Then you select a table, pick up your utensils, napkins and drinks and then wait till they bring your food. In our experience, BOG is much less expensive than CP.

CP used to be a must do for us, however, these days we find that the price has risen and the food quality has deteriorated. I have sadly decided not to eat there for future visits (unless we have kids with us wanting to meet Winnie the Pooh characters). Just another opinion, FWIW.

Everyone is going to be different on this but I don't think BOG is worth it for breakfast. It's sort of like a modified quick service setup and the breakfast just isn't very good, in my humble opinion.

Now dinner I really like because it's a legitimate sit-down restaurant, the food is reasonably good, and it's not such a rushed feeling. Breakfast was one and done for me/us.

CP is a better use of time, in my opinion. You have charachters, the buffett is pretty good with lots of different options, etc.

But everything @Babsy said above is valid too. Dining can be so subjective!
