hi,

I have not done much research yet but 100% sure we want to do a Disney Cruise (never done a cruise of any sort before). Once we decide on dates, do you recommend we go ahead and book and then work on researching and figuring everything out? We are looking for a specific room type, so my thought was to go ahead and book (probably a year in advance) and then work on getting all our ducks in a row.

Wanted to get some opinions from those of you with the Disney Cruise experience.

Thanks.

You'll find the prices lower the further out you book. If you book a cruise, and then figure out (because of subsequent research) you want to book a different one, you can always transfer the booking to the new date/ship. As long as it's before the Paid in Full date, you won't lose any money.

Great - thanks for the reply! I may take this approach then. Hope to pull the trigger in the next week or two. Appreciate the info.

If you go ahead and book your cruise, and then decide for whatever reason that you no longer want to cruise, you can cancel and get your entire deposit back, as long as you cancel before the Paid In Full (PIF) date, and that the reservation was not for a concierge room.

I'd say, book first and get the room that you love. You can modify the trip as you plan in the months ahead, and cancel by the paid-in-full date, if you need to.
